Privacy
Masari is free, needs no account, and is designed to collect as little as possible.
- An account is optional. Without one, your discovery answers, saved items, skills and chats stay only in your browser. If you create one (email, Google or Apple), we keep your name, email, saved items, Discover answers and results, and Job Simulator runs so they follow you to other devices. You can download or delete all of it from My account at any time, and we never receive your Google or Apple password.
- We count visits anonymously, without cookies: daily totals of page views and visitors, and counts of things like finished quizzes or topics picked. No IP addresses are stored, and visits can't be linked to a person or followed across days. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control aren't counted.
- Search queries and assistant questions aren't linked to your identity and aren't stored with your details on our servers.
- To improve Masari, we count searches that find nothing, chat questions we have no data for, and answers you mark helpful or not. Only the words are kept (with names, emails and numbers removed), never who typed them.
- Voice search uses your browser's own speech recognition, so your browser's maker (for example Apple or Google) may process the audio. Masari only receives the words.
- We never sell your data or share it with advertisers. Sponsored placements are clearly labelled, and sponsors never receive information about you.
- Reports you send about wrong information are only used to fix it. Your email is optional and only used to reply.
How Masari uses AI
- Masari uses OpenAI's AI (gpt-6-luna) to write answers in plain English and Arabic, summarise your career report, understand answers you write in your own words, find careers by meaning when you search, and give feedback in the application coach.
- If you have taken Discover on this device, the chat and career pages can use your answers to explain what fits you. They're sent with that request only, and you can switch this off in the chat.
- The AI never decides your matches or rankings. Those come from Masari's open, rule-based engine; the AI only explains facts from Masari's database.
- Only your question or answers and facts from Masari's database are sent. Emails, phone numbers, ID numbers and names are removed first, and nothing that identifies you or your device is sent.
- If the AI is unavailable, Masari answers from its own engine instead.
- OpenAI doesn't use this data to train its models, and Masari asks it not to store these requests. OpenAI may keep them for up to 30 days to check for abuse, then deletes them.
