Data & methodology
Masari exists to help students make big decisions, so we're explicit about where every piece of information comes from and how fresh it is.
Verification statuses
Every university, program and job posting carries a status. Verified means a Masari admin checked it against an official source on the date shown. Pending means it was compiled from public information and still needs that check. Sample means it is illustrative only and not real.
Universities and programs
Institution and program records are checked against official university program pages and the national and emirate-level registers: the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) for federally licensed institutions, and KHDA or ADEK where relevant. Tuition, duration and accreditation are only shown once verified.
Job vacancies
Openings come from job sources that Masari is permitted to ingest (public feeds, partner APIs or uploads). Each posting links to the original, shows when it was posted, and expires automatically when the source stops listing it. Salaries are shown only when the posting discloses pay.
Career matching
The discovery report uses a transparent, rule-based engine: your answers are compared with an editorial profile of each career across nine named components, and every recommendation shows which of your answers drove it. The fit indicator is guidance for exploration, not a psychometric test.
How AI is used
Masari uses OpenAI's AI (gpt-6-luna) to word answers and report summaries, to understand answers written in your own words, and to match searches by meaning. It is given facts from Masari's database, told to answer only from them, and to say when information is unavailable. The AI never ranks careers or programmes: matching is done by the rule-based engine above. Personal details are removed before anything is sent; see the privacy page.
